November 8, 2016 – The Authority’s board of directors has committed $1,500,000 to install water on roads that don’t have public water. At their regular monthly meeting on November 8th, the board reviewed a list of roads in Butts County that do not have access to the water system. It was decided that the Authority will work to serve as many roads as possible that have a customer density equal to at least 5 customers per mile. Priority will be given to areas where wells are inadequate. Roads being considered include Greer Dairy Road, Walter Moore Road, Apple Blossom Lane, Red Berry Road, Oscar Lane, Barnes Road, Joe Lane Road, Lucy Lane/Lunsford Road, Dukes Road, Moore Road, Riley Road, Bob Thomas Road, Peoples Road, and Hammond Road.
