Security deposits are required of all new customers. For each service used, new property owners post $75.00 and renters post $150.00.
Customers who have been on the Authority’s system for 24 months or longer, and who have an excellent payment history, may be exempted from posting a security deposit if moving from one address to another, or if adding another unit to the system.
Security deposits are refunded to individual customers with an excellent payment history after 24 months on the system.
Builders may post a blanket security deposit of $500 for up to ten units. This blanket deposit is held indefinitely and rolls over to cover different units under construction at any given time.
